With the clearance from your obstetrician-gynecologist, you can safely practice prenatal yoga starting from 16 weeks pregnant till childbirth.


Prenatal yoga not only helps you ease stress and slow down the pace of your weight gain, it also helps address and relieve the common discomforts of pregnancy, such as swelling, back pain, nausea, varicose veins and low body temperature. Both childbirth and postpartum demand strength, and this gently flowing practice which includes stretches, pelvic floor strengthening and breathing exercises will simply make you more at east throughout your pregnancy.


My first yoga experience started with prenatal yoga- through the weekly prenatal yoga class, my body gained strength and flexibility. I also developed confidence and nurture my mind to connect with my baby and enjoy the magic process of pregnancy and birth. I realized birth is a team play with my baby and I couldn’t do it alone.
